Ronaldo Santiago Jr., 40, was charged with two counts of third-degree theft, third-degree burglary, and fourth-degree possession of burglary tools. The North Wildwood Police Department announced his arrest in a news release on Friday, Aug. 2.

Officers responded to a vehicle theft report on the 400 block of East 23rd Avenue on Friday, July 26. Police tracked the iPad to a laundromat in Wildwood.

Investigators said Santiago was seen on surveillance video with the iPad at the laundromat. Police eventually found him with the iPad and wearing the same clothes from the video.

On the same day, police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle near the corner of 18th Avenue and the boardwalk. The bike's lock was cut and more surveillance video identified Santiago as the suspect.

Police said Santiago admitted to stealing the bicycle, as well as another bike in Wildwood. Both bikes were returned to their owners.

Santiago was held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
